Congratulations Hull Street!
We are so proud to say that our Hull Street location is now I-Car Gold Class certified! This is a big thing in the world of collision centers because only ten percent of collision centers have the Gold Class rating. The main goal with I-Car is to make sure that your car is taken care of and that the safety of your vehicle is not compromised when it is repaired.
What does it mean to be a Gold Class Certified shop? When a shop is Gold Class certified, it means that they have four specified technicians that have reached Platinum level training. The four specific technicians that need to reach platinum level are the estimator, a non-structural technician, a steel structural technician, and a refinish technician. The technicians undergo several classes and tests, both in person and online. Any other technician in the shop also has to be trained, but their training is not geared toward a specific role. Their training process ensures that they are able to identify what needs to be repaired on your car and that they can do it safely. (In addition to the four specialized technicians, all other technicians need training, even if it is not specialized). The rest of the technicians in the shop have to complete a certain amount of hours of training classes to be Gold Class certified. Just like medicine, technology and cars are always changing. Doctors have to get re-certified after a certain amount of time; technicians also have to renew their certification if the shop is going to keep the Gold Class standings. They have to renew their training every year to ensure that they can still provide a safe repair, even with constantly changing technology.
You may wonder: Why do I need to find a Gold Class certified collision center to repair my car? Even if you know a local shop that has been in business for many years and that always gets good reviews, does not mean that they are certainly equipped to take care of your repair. The I-Car training makes sure that the technician still knows how to take care of newer vehicles as well as older vehicles. In addition to the technicians having the knowledge to take care of your vehicle, I-Car certified shops are held to a high standard of cleanliness, politeness, and over all care for their customers. When you go to a Gold Class Certified shop, you can rest easy knowing that you will be taken care of when you are there.
Congratulations to our Hull Street shop on such a great accomplishment!
